Join our team at Sunday Bookshop, where we are passionate about creating and cultivating a love of books and all things reading within our community. We're seeking a reliable and customer-focused part time sales associate to contribute to the success of the store.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers in locating books, offering recommendations and processing transactions
  • Maintain a tidy and organized store, ensuring a welcoming environment for customers
  • Receive and restock inventory, including books and related merchandise (some manual labor required - lifting 25+ pound boxes and climbing ladders)
  • Operate a point of sale system (Square) and manage accurate financial transactions
  • Stay informed about new book releases, best sellers and current literary trends to better assist customers

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for books and reading
  • Ability to multitask and handle customer inquiries effectively
  • Basic computer skills (familiarity with Square is a plus)
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
  • Previous retail experience is not required, but preferred
